Production activity of the East-Czech gas plant (VČP s.p.) for the production of gas pressure regulators began in the early 60 of XX century in Skuteč. Within a few years the plant has taken a leading position in the market of Czechoslovakia. The plant's products were exported to the Soviet Union and CMEA countries.
